Upgraded from my old UE Wonderboom, I was looking for something more rugged yet still compact. The JBL Go 4 fit the bill perfectly. It's tiny but tough, unlike anything I've seen before.
After two weeks of heavy use, I'm blown away by this little guy. Firstly, it's like having a mini nightclub in my bag. The sound is insane for its size, with some serious bass punch that'll make your tunes pop. It's perfect for spontaneous jam sessions at the park or beach – and yes, it's survived a few accidental drops into sand and water without skipping a beat.
I love how it's waterproof and dustproof too. I've taken it on hikes and bike rides without worrying about its safety. Plus, the battery life is fantastic; seven hours of playtime has become my new normal. Even when I forgot to charge it one night (oops!), Playtime Boost got me through my morning workout with ease.
One minor gripe: pairing two Go 4s for stereo sound isn't as straightforward as described. It took me a few tries to get the hang of it, but once you're in sync, oh boy, it's worth it!
