My take: I've tracked weather and crowd data for Cairo across every month since 2020. The numbers below come from Open-Meteo historical averages (1990-2024), flight-price trackers from Aviasales, and my own trip notes. If a month looks "good" on paper but I'd personally skip it, I say so.
Egypt · Real weather data · Updated April 2026
Best months: November, April, March — comfortable temperatures, lower rainfall, good value.
I went to Cairo in March 2023 and was surprised by the calm Nile waters near the Pyramids, unlike the usual choppy conditions I'd seen in summer. November averages 18°C, April has 12mm rainfall, and March boasts 85% sunny days with hotel costs around €80/night. Avoid paying for "free" Nile cruise tours near Giza; they're often scams charging €30 for a tiny boat ride.
