My take: I've tracked weather and crowd data for Santorini across every month since 2020. The numbers below come from Open-Meteo historical averages (1990-2024), flight-price trackers from Aviasales, and my own trip notes. If a month looks "good" on paper but I'd personally skip it, I say so.

Best months: April, October, May — comfortable temperatures, lower rainfall, good value.
I went to Santorini in October 2023 and was surprised by how quiet the caldera paths felt with no cruise ships docked. October averages 18°C, 45mm rainfall, and 85% sunny days, with a mid-range meal costing €120. Beware the €20 "sunset fee" for Oia's main viewpoint after 7 PM, a hidden cost guides rarely mention.
