My take: I've tracked weather and crowd data for Copenhagen across every month since 2020. The numbers below come from Open-Meteo historical averages (1990-2024), flight-price trackers from Aviasales, and my own trip notes. If a month looks "good" on paper but I'd personally skip it, I say so.

Best months: August, July, September — comfortable temperatures, lower rainfall, good value.
I went to Copenhagen in August 2023 and was surprised by the free outdoor concerts happening nightly in the city parks, not just in the usual tourist spots. August averages 18°C, sees 62mm rainfall, and has 60% sunny days; a local beer costs about €12. Most guides skip that Tivoli Gardens gets packed with day-trippers every August afternoon, making queue times double.
