My take: I've tracked weather and crowd data for Bangkok across every month since 2020. The numbers below come from Open-Meteo historical averages (1990-2024), flight-price trackers from Aviasales, and my own trip notes. If a month looks "good" on paper but I'd personally skip it, I say so.

Best months: December, July, November — comfortable temperatures, lower rainfall, good value.
I went to Bangkok in July 2023 and was surprised the monsoon rains barely interrupted my riverboat tours; the city felt refreshingly quiet. July averages 32°C, sees 280mm rainfall, and has 55% sunny days, costing around €65 daily excluding accommodation. Avoid Khao San Road at night; street vendors aggressively push fake "souvenir" massages costing €20+ with no refund.
