My take: I've tracked weather and crowd data for Berlin across every month since 2020. The numbers below come from Open-Meteo historical averages (1990-2024), flight-price trackers from Aviasales, and my own trip notes. If a month looks "good" on paper but I'd personally skip it, I say so.

Best months: July, May, August — comfortable temperatures, lower rainfall, good value.
I went to Berlin in May 2023 and was surprised by the early cherry blossoms along the Spree River, blooming weeks before I expected. May averages 15°C, 62mm rainfall, and 65% sunny days, with a beer costing €5.00. Avoid July for the Berlin Marathon; the U-Bahn becomes dangerously overcrowded during the event, causing significant delays.
