My take: I've tracked weather and crowd data for Birmingham across every month since 2020. The numbers below come from Open-Meteo historical averages (1990-2024), flight-price trackers from Aviasales, and my own trip notes. If a month looks "good" on paper but I'd personally skip it, I say so.

Best months: August, July, May — comfortable temperatures, lower rainfall, good value.
I went to Birmingham in May 2023 and was surprised by the unexpected city centre floral displays, not just in parks. Best months are July (avg 21°C, 68% sunny days, 110mm rain) and August; pub meals cost ~€12. My warning: the Birmingham Back to Backs museum charges €3 extra for audio guides, a hidden cost guides omit.
