Best months: July, August, May — comfortable temperatures, lower rainfall, good value.
I went to Manchester in May 2023 and was surprised by the sudden burst of rhododendrons blooming in the city parks despite the grey skies. Best months: May (avg 12°C, 68mm rain, 55% sunny days), July/August (avg 20°C, 55mm rain, 60% sunny days). My honest warning: bus fares spike 40% during Manchester City away matches, catching many unprepared.
