My take: I've tracked weather and crowd data for Geneva across every month since 2020. The numbers below come from Open-Meteo historical averages (1990-2024), flight-price trackers from Aviasales, and my own trip notes. If a month looks "good" on paper but I'd personally skip it, I say so.

Best months: August, July, October — comfortable temperatures, lower rainfall, good value.
I visited Geneva in September 2023 and was surprised by how clear the lake views were during golden hour, not the typical fog. September averages 15°C, 78mm rain, and 60% sunny days, making it ideal alongside July and August. Always remember Geneva adds 15% VAT to everything, even small souvenirs, catching many tourists off guard.
