My take: I've tracked weather and crowd data for Paris across every month since 2020. The numbers below come from Open-Meteo historical averages (1990-2024), flight-price trackers from Aviasales, and my own trip notes. If a month looks "good" on paper but I'd personally skip it, I say so.
France · Real weather data · Updated April 2026
Best months: August, July, October — comfortable temperatures, lower rainfall, good value.
I went to Paris in July 2023 and was shocked by the heat; it hit 32°C by 10 AM, making outdoor sightseeing exhausting before lunch. July averages 27°C, sees 72mm rain, and has 78% sunny days, making it ideal for sunbathing but hot. Avoid the Louvre without booking online; I waited 110 minutes in line despite arriving at 8 AM, a major time-sink guides omit.
