My take: I've tracked weather and crowd data for Nice across every month since 2020. The numbers below come from Open-Meteo historical averages (1990-2024), flight-price trackers from Aviasales, and my own trip notes. If a month looks "good" on paper but I'd personally skip it, I say so.

Best months: June, October, September — comfortable temperatures, lower rainfall, good value.
I visited Nice in September 2023 and was surprised by how mild the weather felt with almost no crowds compared to July. September averages 24°C, sees 55mm rainfall, and offers 70% sunny days, costing around €120 for a three-night stay. Most guides omit that tram tickets aren't included in the city pass, making daily transport unexpectedly expensive.
