My take: I've tracked weather and crowd data for Glasgow across every month since 2020. The numbers below come from Open-Meteo historical averages (1990-2024), flight-price trackers from Aviasales, and my own trip notes. If a month looks "good" on paper but I'd personally skip it, I say so.

Best months: July, May, September — comfortable temperatures, lower rainfall, good value.
I went to Glasgow in May 2023 and was surprised by the sudden burst of cherry blossoms along the River Clyde, cutting through the usual grey skies. May averages 10°C, sees 82mm rain, and offers 40% sunny days, making it cheaper than July (€120 avg hotel). Avoid the subway on Monday mornings; delays are frequent and catch you off guard when transferring between city centre and attractions.
