My take: I've tracked weather and crowd data for Granada across every month since 2020. The numbers below come from Open-Meteo historical averages (1990-2024), flight-price trackers from Aviasales, and my own trip notes. If a month looks "good" on paper but I'd personally skip it, I say so.
Spain · Real weather data · Updated April 2026
Best months: September, June, April — comfortable temperatures, lower rainfall, good value.
I went to Granada in April 2023 and was surprised by how few tourists were at Alhambra before noon, making the Nasrid Palaces feel accessible. Average April temperatures are 16°C, rainfall totals 35mm, and sunny days reach 70%. Be warned: Alhambra's 8:00 AM entry tickets vanish months ahead online; skipping this means waiting hours for later slots.
