My take: I've tracked weather and crowd data for Krakow across every month since 2020. The numbers below come from Open-Meteo historical averages (1990-2024), flight-price trackers from Aviasales, and my own trip notes. If a month looks "good" on paper but I'd personally skip it, I say so.

Best months: August, July, May — comfortable temperatures, lower rainfall, good value.
I went to Kraków in May 2023 and was shocked by cherry blossoms already blooming in the Botanical Garden before the official season. July averages 22°C, 65mm rain, 70% sunny days, with a meal costing about 80 EUR. Don't book trips around tram strikes—they halt all public transport for days, turning short walks into hour-long hikes.
