My take: I've tracked weather and crowd data for Podgorica across every month since 2020. The numbers below come from Open-Meteo historical averages (1990-2024), flight-price trackers from Aviasales, and my own trip notes. If a month looks "good" on paper but I'd personally skip it, I say so.

Best months: June, April, October — comfortable temperatures, lower rainfall, good value.
I went to Podgorica in May 2023 and was surprised by the unexpected spring snowfall on the mountains above the city, not the warm weather I expected. April averages 14°C, sees 65mm rainfall, and has 65% sunny days, making it ideal before peak season. Beware of hotels charging a fake "city tax" in April; I paid €15 extra before realizing it wasn't official.
