Best months: June, May, July — comfortable temperatures, lower rainfall, good value.
I went to Vienna in May 2023 and was surprised by the intense cherry blossom bloom along the Danube Canal by mid-month, far earlier than expected. May averages 18°C, sees 65mm rainfall, and offers 55% sunny days, making it ideal. Be warned: May 1st (Labour Day) causes major tram/bus disruptions citywide; avoid travel plans that day.
